Easy two-ingredient pigs in a blanket made with refrigerated crescent dough and fully cooked cocktail sausages, air fried until the pastry is golden and the centers are hot.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 8 minutes
Total Time 18 minutes
Servings: 24 pigs in a blanket
Course: Appetizer, Snack
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 8-count can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 24 fully cooked cocktail sausages such as Little Smokies; patted dry

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Pizza cutter or sharp knife
  • Tongs optional for turning

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for 2 to 3 minutes if your model benefits from preheating.
  2. Separate the crescent dough into 8 triangles, then cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 smaller strips to make 24 pieces.
  3. Pat the cocktail sausages dry. Place one sausage on the wide end of each dough strip and roll toward the narrow end. Press the tip of the dough gently to help it stay closed.
  4. Arrange the wrapped sausages seam-side down in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them. Cook in batches if needed.
  5. Air fry at 350°F for 6 to 8 minutes. Start checking around 5 minutes. Turn or rotate them only if the bottoms need more browning, and continue until the crescent dough is puffed, golden, and no longer doughy.
  6. Let them rest for 1 to 2 minutes, then serve warm with ketchup, mustard, honey mustard, barbecue sauce, or cheese sauce.

Notes

Use fully cooked cocktail sausages for this method. Pat them dry before wrapping so excess moisture does not make the dough soggy. If the tops brown before the dough underneath is cooked, reduce the temperature to 325–340°F and continue for 1 to 3 minutes. Frozen prepared pigs in a blanket usually need about 8 to 10 minutes at 370–380°F, but follow the package directions when available.
