Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for 2 to 3 minutes if your model benefits from preheating.
- Remove all plastic, paper, or cardboard packaging. Keep the burritos frozen.
- Place the burritos in the air fryer basket in a single layer with space between them for airflow.
- Air fry at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping carefully halfway through. Start checking around 12 minutes.
- Continue cooking until the tortilla is golden and crisp and the filling is thoroughly hot. For meat- or poultry-filled burritos, follow the package directions and verify about 165°F in the center when applicable.
- Let the burritos rest for 1 to 2 minutes before serving because the filling can be much hotter than the tortilla.
Notes
Standard frozen burritos around 5 ounces usually take about 12 to 15 minutes. Larger 7- to 10-ounce burritos can need roughly 15 to 20 minutes or longer. If the tortilla gets dark while the center is still cold, reduce the air fryer to about 325–340°F and continue cooking in short intervals. For a softer tortilla, use foil only if your air fryer manufacturer allows it, keep the foil secured by the food, and uncover near the end for light crisping.
