Ingredients

  • 2 bone-in pork chops about 1 inch thick, fully thawed
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme optional

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Instant-read meat thermometer
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for approximately 3–5 minutes if your appliance requires manual preheating.
  2. Pat the thawed bone-in pork chops dry and lightly coat both sides with olive oil.
  3. Combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and optional thyme. Rub the mixture over both sides.
  4. Arrange the chops in the basket in a single layer without overlapping.
  5. Cook at 400°F for approximately 12–16 minutes, flipping halfway through. Start checking the internal temperature around 10 minutes.
  6. Insert a thermometer into the thickest meat away from the bone. Continue in short intervals until 145°F.
  7. Remove and let rest for at least 3 minutes before serving.

Notes

Cooking time is an estimate. Follow USDA guidance for whole-cut pork: heat to 145°F and rest for at least 3 minutes. Store leftovers promptly and reheat to 165°F. Ingredients and time estimates await kitchen testing.
